Peter Bellwood Wins a 2023 PROSE Award for New Book

Congratulations to School of Archaeology & Anthropology Emeritus Professor Peter Bellwood for winning the PROSE Award in Biological Anthropology, Archaeology, and Ancient History for his book The Five-Million Year Odyssey 
The fascinating origin story of our varied human existence, The Five-Million-Year Odyssey underscores the importance of recognizing our shared genetic heritage to appreciate what makes us so diverse.

Since 1976, the ​​The Association of American Publishers (AAP) PROSE Awards have recognized publishers who produce books, journals, and digital products of extraordinary merit that make a significant contribution to a field of study. More information about the 2023 PROSE Awards can be found here.
